Took the old beast out for drive today. It’s first drive more than 5 miles in nearly a month, and even then, I’ve only driven it twice. Still felt normal. Fired right up after being idle for over a week.

This is a county road...

I also tested out my new lens (Canon EF 75-300mm).

As my current username suggests, I have to keep my TrailBlazer, but I have my eyes on a few cheap third gens.

I had a work truck and my M3 at the same time I still had my 97 explorer. It just sat in the apartment complex parking lot for like 6 weeks with out me touching it, until one day I go out to my work truck and nothing, it’s dead, damn thing drained 2 batteries in 3 days. Get in my explorer to use it to jump the F350, explorer starts on the first crank, something nice when you go out to an old vehicle that’s been sitting for weeks and it starts right up.

My TrailBlazer is 2WD.

Everywhere I went today only required 2WD. As long as you’re smart about it, light trails are fine with 2WD. Lifting the TB would vastly improve it’s looks.

Oh, OK, not too bad. While I agree that lifting the TrailBlazer will make it look a whole lot better, I just don’t see lifting a 2WD car.

IIRC, you can do a cheap junkyard lift. It’s fairly cheap.

True, but lifting a 2WD TrailBlazer will kinda make me feel like a poser, and I don’t want to be that. Trust me, if this wad 4WD, it will be three inches higher off the ground.

Nope. There are a couple of these out there though.

A friend has a mildly lifted ‘98, with 286,000 on it. Been super reliable for her and her parents, as they have had it since new. I love driving in it.

Which year is yours?

My 99 has been in the family since new as well. Super clean and just hit 139090 miles today.
